US lawmakers introduce bill to end programme allowing foreign students to stay after studies

A gathering of US officials has once again introduced an enactment in the House of Representatives to kill a program which permits unfamiliar understudies to remain in the country for work after the consummation of their examinations under specific conditions.

Senator Paul A Gosar alongside Congressman Mo Brooks, Andy Biggs and Matt Gaetz presented the Fairness for High-Skilled Americans Act, an enactment that would correct the Immigration and Nationality Act on the Optional Practice Training (OPT).

“What nation makes a program, yet not a law, that remunerates its organizations to terminate resident specialists and supplant them with unfamiliar work to pay the unfamiliar work less? The United States. The program is called OPT and it mirrors our very own total deserting laborers,” Gosar said.He initially presented the Fairness for High-Skilled Americans Act in the 116th Congress, and has twice marked amicus briefs on the side of American specialists in a claim against the Department of Homeland Security to wipe out the OPT.

The OPT is a visitor laborer program directed by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Gosar affirms that the OPT goes around the H-1B cap by permitting more than 100,000 outsiders conceded as unfamiliar understudies to work for as long as three years in the US after graduation.These unfamiliar specialists are excluded from finance charges, making them something like 10-15 percent less expensive than a similar American laborer, he contended.
